Wrapping a newborn.
When using a woven wrap and a newborn, it's helpful to add a twist under the bum.
This helps to keep babys legs and hips close and get a better position.
As you can see below, sometimes crossing the passes under the bum can push babys legs apart before they are ready and also put added pressure on the shins.
Adding a twist brings the legs closer together while also giving support. Keeping the fabric low so baby cannot stand on the strap.
Be aware though that all babies are different, not all newborns need the twist. But it's helpful.
