The carrier that's popping up all over your socials right now—so, is it worth the hype?
⚠️ This carrier is NOT suitable for newborns.Unfortunately, it's very poorly advertised as being suitable from 7 lbs, but in reality, it’s not appropriate until around 3 months.
👉 It’s a semi-adjustable carrier, meaning the base adjusts smaller (but still not small enough for newborns). However, the panel height doesn’t adjust, and the panel is also very wide. This can cause smaller babies to slump, creating a huge asphyxiation risk due to insufficient support.
👉 It’s a simple, basic carrier—nothing special, no bells or whistles. Essentially, it's another Artipoppe dupe that’s trending right now.
😱 Another major issue: the instructions don’t mention forward-facing use anywhere. It seems like forward-facing was added as an afterthought for the TikTok crowd. Unlike other carriers, there are no adjustments to make forward-facing safe or supportive for your baby. Plus, the panel is wider than most, which complicates things further.
👍 The one positive? It’s cheap. For a simple carrier under £50, it’s a decent option. You might get use out of it until about 18 months before needing to upgrade. However, it’s not ideal for back carrying either.
❗This also applies to the Mabe and Bizzi Growin carriers, as they have the same design.
